PSYCHOTHERAPIST QUALIFICATIONS & CLINICAL SUPERVISION
Vineta Gleba has completed a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and is an associate licensed mental health counselor in the state of Hawai’i. She is under clinical supervision by Ryan Brimley, LCSW. Vineta regularly consults with her supervisor and, on occasion, with other mental health professionals to provide you with the best quality care and service.
MY APPROACH
My approach to therapy is individualized to your specific needs, strengths, culture, and personality. It is wellness-oriented and grounded in person-centered care. The relationship matters the most, so I create a safe, open, warm, caring, and nonjudgmental holding space for you to be authentically yourself. Therefore, I am eclectic and use effective, evidence-based theories such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy, existentialism, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Through therapy with me, you'll connect with your inner strength and bring clarity and power back into your life, one step at a time.
PAYMENT FOR SERVICE
$100 per 60-minute individual session
$150 per 60-minute couple session
Hawaii GE tax (4.712%) applies and will be added to your bill. Fees are subject to change. Sessions will be charged to the card provided automatically before time of service. You may request alternate forms of payment (Venmo, cash, check, etc.) but acknowledge some are not HIPAA compliant and assume the risks involved.
APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel or reschedule, a 24-hour notice in advance is required. You will be responsible for a no-show or late cancellation fee of $50.00 if cancellation is less than 24 hours. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time. If I do not hear from you within 15 minutes of your session start time, you are a no-show, and the session will be missed.
The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 60 minutes. It is up to you, however, to determine the length of time of your sessions. Requests to change the 60-minute session need to be discussed with the therapist in order for time to be scheduled in advance.
TELEPHONE ACCESSIBILITY
If you need to contact me between sessions, you can send an email or call. I am often not immediately available; however, I will attempt to respond within 48 hours. Phone call sessions are available in the event of a technology issue or if you are off-island, sick, or need additional support. If a true emergency arises, please call 911 or 988 for mental health emergencies.
MINORS ages 14+
If you are a minor, your parents may be legally entitled to some information about your psychotherapy. However, if you are 14 years old or older, you may consent to mental health services in our state of Hawai’i. I will discuss with you and your parents (if needed) what information is appropriate for them to receive and which issues are more appropriately kept confidential.
DIVORCE AND CUSTODY LITIGATION
If you are involved in divorce or custody litigation, my role as a therapist is not to make recommendations to the court concerning custody or parenting issues. In the consent paperwork, you will agree not to subpoena me to testify in court or for disclosure of treatment information in such litigation, and you agree not to request that I write any reports concerning custody. The court can appoint professionals, who have no prior relationship with family members, to conduct an investigation or evaluation and to make recommendations. If I am served with a court order requiring me to report or appear, a daily fee of $1,500.00 will be charged to the client.
TERMINATION
Ending therapeutic relationships can be difficult. The appropriate length of services depends on the needs of the client and intensity of the treatment. I may terminate treatment after appropriate discussion with you if I determine that the psychotherapy is not being effectively used or if you are in default on payment. I will not terminate the therapeutic relationship without first discussing and exploring the reasons and purpose of terminating. You have the right to discontinue therapy with me at any time without any financial, legal, or moral obligations other than those you've already incurred. If therapy is terminated for any reason or you request another therapist, I can provide you with a list of qualified psychotherapists to treat you. You may also choose someone on your own or from another referral source. Should you fail to schedule an appointment within 60 days, unless other arrangements have been made in advance, for legal and ethical reasons, I must consider the professional relationship discontinued.
